Multiplication Chart 1–1000

A million squares won’t fit on a page, so explore them 400 at a time. Find any sum, move around the chart, and print the part you need.

Multiplying big numbers in your head

  • Take off the zeros, multiply, then put them back: 450 × 780 is 45 × 78 = 3,510, with two zeros back on: 351,000.
  • Split one number into easy parts: 312 × 6 = 300 × 6 + 12 × 6 = 1,800 + 72 = 1,872.
  • Round and adjust: 499 × 8 = 500 × 8 − 8 = 3,992.

Charts you can print whole

For learning times tables, the 1–12 chart is the one to start with.

Frequently asked questions

Is there a full multiplication chart from 1 to 1000?

A full 1,000 × 1,000 chart has 1,000,000 squares. With 1 cm squares it would be 10 metres wide, so this page shows it 400 squares at a time. You can move to any part of it, or find any sum up to 1,000 × 1,000.

How do I find a sum on the chart?

Type the two numbers under Find a sum and select Show on the chart. The chart jumps to that spot and highlights the answer, its row and its column.

Can I print part of the 1–1000 chart?

Yes. Move to the part you want and select Print this part. It prints that 20 × 20 section on one page.

What is the biggest number on the chart?

1,000 × 1,000 = 1,000,000, in the bottom-right corner.
