Three ways to play
- Speed round. 60 seconds to answer as many as you can. Tap one of six answers, or type them for a harder game. Beat your best score to earn up to three stars.

- Practice. No timer. Get one wrong and you see the answer and a tip to remember it, then the same fact comes back a few questions later.
Every game can ask for the answer (7 × 8), a missing number (7 × ? = 56) or a division (56 ÷ 7), or a mix of all three. At the end you get a list of the facts to practise, each linked to its times table.

Which times tables at which age?
The National Curriculum in England expects children to know these tables by the end of each school year. The game's Easy, Medium and Hard buttons pick them for you.
Getting faster
- Play little and often: five minutes a day works better than an hour once a week.
- Start with Practice until most answers are right, then switch to the Speed round.
- When tapping gets easy, switch to typing. It stops you guessing from the choices.
- Learn each fact both ways round: 3 × 8 and 8 × 3 are the same fact, and the check asks either.
- Finish with "Practise these" to go over just the facts you missed.
Frequently asked questions
Are these times tables games free?
Yes. Every game is free to play at home or in class, with no sign-up and nothing to download. It works in any browser on a phone, tablet or computer.
Do children need an account?
No. Best scores are kept in your own browser on this device, and nothing is sent to us. That also means no personal details are ever asked for.
Which game suits a 6 or 7-year-old?
Choose Easy (the 2, 5 and 10 times tables) and start with Practice, which has no timer and gives a tip after a wrong answer. Move on to the Speed round once most answers are right.
What is the multiplication tables check?
A short online check taken in June by Year 4 pupils in England: 25 questions from the 2 to 12 times tables, with 6 seconds for each answer. Check practice here uses the same format, but it is not the official check.
Can my child play without a timer?
Yes. Practice has no timer at all: take as long as you need, and any fact you get wrong comes back a few questions later.
