How to remember the 100 times table
- Multiplying by 100 adds two zeros to the other number: 100 × 3 = 300 and 100 × 12 = 1,200.
- 100 is 5 × 20, so multiply by 20 first, then by 5: 100 × 4 = 5 × 80 = 400.
- Start from 100 × 10 = 1,000: take 100 away for 100 × 9 = 900, or add it for 100 × 11 = 1,100.
Patterns in the 100 times table
- Each answer is 100 more than the one before: 100, 200, 300, 400, 500 and so on.
- Every answer ends in 0.
- Every answer is even, because an even number times anything is even.
- 100 × 100 = 10,000 is a square number: 100 rows of 100.
Division facts for 100
Every times table fact works backwards too: if 100 × 8 = 800, then 800 ÷ 100 = 8.

- 300 ÷ 100 = 3
- 400 ÷ 100 = 4
- 500 ÷ 100 = 5
- 600 ÷ 100 = 6
- 700 ÷ 100 = 7
- 800 ÷ 100 = 8
- 900 ÷ 100 = 9
- 1,000 ÷ 100 = 10
- 1,100 ÷ 100 = 11
- 1,200 ÷ 100 = 12
