How to remember the 39 times table
- Split 39 into 30 and 9: 39 × 9 = 30 × 9 + 9 × 9 = 270 + 81 = 351.
- 39 is 40 − 1, so multiply by 40 and take one lot away: 39 × 8 = 40 × 8 − 8 = 320 − 8 = 312.
- 39 is 3 × 13, so multiply by 13 first, then by 3: 39 × 12 = 3 × 156 = 468.
