The facts to learn
Children who know the 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 8 and 10 times tables already have 7 × 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 8 and 10, because 7 × 10 = 10 × 7. That leaves 4 new facts:
- 7 × 7 = 49
- 7 × 9 = 63
- 7 × 11 = 77
- 7 × 12 = 84

How to play

At what age do children learn the 7 times table?
Usually by age 8–9. In England, children are expected to know the 7 times table by the end of Year 4. That is also when they take the multiplication tables check, which covers every table up to 12 × 12.
Which 7 times table facts are hardest?
The ones not covered by earlier tables: 7 × 7 = 49, 7 × 9 = 63, 7 × 11 = 77, 7 × 12 = 84. The rest match facts children already know, like 7 × 10 = 10 × 7.
How can my child get faster at the 7 times table?
Play Practice until most answers are right, then the Speed round. Three stars means 25 right in 60 seconds. After that, switch to typing the answers, then try missing numbers and division.
