How to remember the 23 times table
- Split 23 into 20 and 3: 23 × 9 = 20 × 9 + 3 × 9 = 180 + 27 = 207.
- 23 is a prime number: it isn’t in any times table except 1 and 23, so splitting it into tens and ones is the quickest way to work out its facts.
- Start from 23 × 10 = 230: take 23 away for 23 × 9 = 207, or add it for 23 × 11 = 253.
