How to remember the 30 times table
- Every answer is the 3 times table with a 0 on the end: 30 × 3 = 90, because 3 × 3 = 9.
- 30 is double 15, so double the 15 times table: 15 × 4 = 60, and 60 × 2 = 120.
- Start from 30 × 10 = 300: take 30 away for 30 × 9 = 270, or add it for 30 × 11 = 330.
Patterns in the 30 times table
- Each answer is 30 more than the one before: 30, 60, 90, 120, 150 and so on.
- Every answer ends in 0.
- Every answer is even, because an even number times anything is even.
- Keep adding the digits of any answer and you always reach 3, 6 or 9.
- 30 × 30 = 900 is a square number: 30 rows of 30.
